Government and third-party payor fraud investigations
Our experienced healthcare team will work in collaboration with you to appropriately respond to compliance allegations brought forward by the government and third-party payors. Based on the scope of the project, we can offer assistance in many key areas including: statistical sampling, expert witness testimony, and coding, documentation and billing reviews. We will provide an independent objective review and assistance, tailored to your specific needs.

Expert witness testimony
Our team of Certified Public Accountants, valuation, and healthcare experts have testified in both state and federal court and are available to provide expert witness services in billing, cost report, valuation, and contractual dispute cases.

Corporate integrity agreement reviews
Our staff will work directly with you and your practice to review the terms and conditions of the agreement, provide recommendations and assist you with government negotiations.

Document reviews/statistical and non-statistical sampling
We provide statistical sampling services including identificaiton of the relevant population, consideration of stratification, risk and confidence and precision levels in the sampling approach.  Sample identification, sample item evaluation, and extrapolation of sample results to the population under review.  In performing these services, our healthcare team utilizes our extensive experience and statisticians to assist in all phases of the sampling process. We adhere to both industry and government protocols regarding sample selection, evaluation and documentation.

We also assist clients with non-statistical sampling including probe samples and other custom sampling as a precursor to statistical sampling or as a stand alone service.

Mediation assistance
Our healthcare team has provided mediation assistance including analysis of allegations, investigations, preparation of “settlement purposes only” analysis, consulting and presentations to opposing parties.

Arbitration
Our healthcare team has served as expert witnesses in front of arbitration panels including investigation, analysis, reporting and testifying.

Contractual disputes
Our Certified Public Accountants and Certified Professional Coders have assisted in contractual disputes both as consultants and testifying experts in approximately 40 states for billing companies and providers of health care services.
